Client bought the property at auction and was looking to convert to a short-let HMO. We advised the client that so we should finish the property like a boutique hotel as it was a competitive market and we wanted to be the best Airbnb property in the Liverpool area to minimise any voids.

The client bought a 4-bedroom semi-detached property which we converted into a high-end Airbnb rental conversion property. The property had been derelict for several years so needed a lot of roof, chimney & damp works. We had to replace most of the ground floor joists as the water ingress over the years had created wet rot issues. We removed the 2 chimneys as they were both redundant. We also insulated the walls internally to ensure the property retained the heat. The finishing detail of the property was carefully thought about to replicate a lot of the original Victorian features. The skirting boards we chose were 250mm and the architraves were 125mm to achieve a similar look to houses of this era. Each bedroom was individually designed with a feature wallpapered wall to give the property character and appeal to the Airbnb market.

  • Stud walls stripped of lathe & plaster
