The client asked us to advise on this property as it had signs of subsidence. Along with a general refurb the property needed repairs to the various cracks in the rear elevation wall and then fully re-rendering. The electrics needed a partial rewire.

The client bought a probate property in Netherton, Liverpool (L30) which they wanted to refurbish into a buy-to-let property. The client was concerned the property was subsiding but once we had stripped the property back we reported the internal cracks were caused by lateral movement. We needed to strap the walls and tie the floor joists back into the wall to stop further movement. The rear elevation needed knocking back to brick and retaining straps added with a chemical anchor. We were able to leave the kitchen as it was only a few years old.
